Sadly the Funchal escape had too many glitches and the final location is currently fenced off.

About London

We liked the story and the concept but overall we didn't enjoy it. The context is that we were 4 people with our own time constraint (restaurant booked for 2 hours after the start) and it was a very cold day. We didn't do very well which was partly down to us partly due to the game. We do a lot of these type of games and we normally do fairly well at them. A few specific comments. I had expected that we could log in and use 2 phones but we could only log in to 1 which was quite limiting. I'm not sure if this is normal or an error on our part. The technology let us down on several occasions. It seemed to skip over a question/ location a few times. Sometimes we were told if we got it right or wrong with an explanation, sometimes we just got an "OK" message and moved on to the next question without knowing if we got it right or wrong. The straight "wrong answer" format seemed very harsh. It would have been nice to get a 'Try again' option, eg. a few lives to use up before we failed questions immediately or a time penalty for a second try. A straight 'wrong - next question' felt demoralising. I'd prefer the option of having a second chance. A lot of games offer this. I didn't personally like the 'divide one answer by another and multiple by a third one' format. I like maths quizzes but I don't see any value in adding maths to an escape game, especially if your standing in the cold working something out when you have all the individual answers correctly. Why not just type in the individual answers? Similarly why request a coded answer eg. E3 or C1 when we could just type in eg. 'Gandhi'? I don't see the point personally and it doesn't add anything to the experience. You can build in multiple spellings. A couple of the questions seemed to be badly designed eg. the spot the difference one, although it was cleverly done. If I had got all 4 I would have spent ages having to recheck the picture in detail to make sure there weren't 5 which seems unnecessary. We got the Trafalgar square question wrong. You had 6 mermaids but there were only two. There were also two 'mermen' and two children who could have been boy or girl but they were not mermaids. A mermaid is ver specifically a female character. I was strangely annoyed about this, especailly as we'd worked the rest out correctly, even the numerical value of the National Gallery. On that point I don't see why we had to combine answers into a single answer. I meant that if we got 1 out of 4 things wrong we got the whole question wrong which is not a good experience. The silver plaque on the Embankment had been removed or covered up. I'm convinced it wasn't there. There were a few other points but I'll leave it there. I hope these are useful. I do like the phone/location based concept and building a story around it. I think we struggled because we had only one phone, it was cold and we didn't have long to get round. Having said that, we made some basic mistakes which were entirely our fault. It may well have been different in the summer. Good luck with your future games. It's good to have people producing them. They a normally great fun. Thanks, Jeff

About Cannes

The escape visit for Cannes is thoroughly entertaining and we covered a lot of the area in front of the port and in the old town. It caused us to look at things more closely. We wished we’d taken a pen and paper to help with some of the maths though! We did ours on Jan 1 2025 when a couple of items needed updating at the start of play.

About Canterbury

ok, so we are not great with technology but found it pretty easy to set up on the phone. We all liked the satnav to place, sort out clues then move on. We got one wrong because we were stupid, got the next one wrong because something had changed locally but cannot see where we are meant to notifiy the people running it. Overall it was a very good experience and one we will repeat at other locations

About The Hague

The idea is really nice and gets you to do a walk you woudn´t do other way, but the clues are difficult to catch and not really clear described. The plot of the background story is good but not much interesting things learned. Too expensive for what it really is.

About London

Great activity for both smaller and larger groups, prompts team working. Good for work team building or having fun in private groups. Entertaining stroll in central London's streets - you'll see a lot of city's landmarks. Assignments are at good level of difficulty (not easy but you can figure out); few tasks are described a bit too vague hence it's more of a guessing rather than figuring out a task. You need a day time and a good weather! Such fun!

About Hasselt (Belgium)

Het is best even zoeken op de locaties, waardoor er halverwege wel behoefte is aan een pauze. Je zou dan de tijd even stil moeten kunnen zetten. De opdrachten zijn leuk. Maar ook best moeilijk.

About Amsterdam

I was generally really disappointed, the story was not good and had no relation to the places where we we're. The assignments where extremely basic and not challenging and no historic facts we're included. Price quality ratio was very low. I regret having payed and we didn't finish the game. Would absolutely not recommend

About Leicester

The tour could be really enjoyable and has a good range of questions. Some of the questions could have been correct for us if the question was asked correctly because we knew the answer but answered the question asked. Some of Leicester had works in progress so inscriptions and facades needed to solve the quiz couldn't be accessed due to being fenced off which made it frustrating and seemed unfair

About Brighton

We enjoyed it. It was a fun way to explore the city. The puzzles were fun and not too challenging - I liked that they used buildings and other things in reality for them. Only issue was that some of the clues were incorrect and there were some errors. But overall a good experience and I liked the story

About Madeira

Excellent idea ( History of Madeira , city landmarks Funchal) terribly executed. Some questions were impossible to answer , or completely misleading. Once we figured out where we were supposed to go ( in spite of missing letters ) we were not allowed to do it. Most times when we did not get the answer we were not told how we were supposed to get it.

About Seville

Total waste of money. The app doesn’t work and the map is all blank, we didn’t know where to go neither could we start the tour. I had a previous tour with another company and bought this one as a birthday gift. I was totally embarrassed because nothing worked and now I’ll probably have to fight to get my money back. Don’t do this!!

I really enjoyed it, but was disappointed to not escape. I was pretty confident I went to the right place, I just couldn't get the app to load it. Overall good, I think it could do with slightly more help options

About Mechelen

I don’t recommend if you are not Belgian. The English version is not well translated and it is never clear if you are supposed to answer in English or Dutch (we got some answers wrong because of this). Also the app malfunctioned and didn’t stop the clock when we finished. Overall we were quite disappointed and will not purchase again.

About Newcastle

This was the worst ‘escape’ task I’ve ever done. I do not recommend this experience. Ensure that you speak the language of the experience (our city was in England but the experience language was Dutch, which we couldn’t change). Please ensure that you have an additional power pack for you phone as the constant tracking kills the battery. If I could give a negative score I would…

About Manchester

Excellent and informative way to spend a couple (well three in our case!) of hours solving the mystery around the streets and sights of Manchester. Don't worry if you get some clues wrong as you get a nother chance at the end to get any missing letters. Enjoy!

About Edinburgh

Really enjoyed the escape tour. Some of the clues were a bit unclear in the wording. One of the answers was given correctly but the app said we were wrong on a large numerical answer. It's a great way to spend a few hours seeing the city. Would definitely do another one in a different city.

About Nottingham

The “escape the city” activity was enjoyable with a variety of puzzles utilising the surroundings and monuments of the city. It was nice to explore and discover parts of the city which I hadn’t taken the time to notice before. The puzzles had a good mix of difficulties to push your logical thinking. All in all, an enjoyable experience.
