In the Manchester of 1913 (and in other large parts of the world) women's rights are in a poor state. Voting is out of the question, they are still not full members of universities, and divorce is practically impossible. Emmeline Pankhurst, with other members of the WSPU, has been on the warpath against this injustice for ten years.
In April 1913, Emmeline plants a bomb on British politician Lloyd George. Not much later, the activist was arrested and sentenced in absentia to only 3 years in prison. A small stroke of luck, because it could just as easily have been 14 years. Emmeline decides to flee. She has heard of Manchester's secret exit, but where is it...? Will the radical feminist manage to stay out of the hands of the police?
