Last played Escape Tour was in Warsaw

Vacancy: All-round Gamemaster - Traveling game geek wanted! (24-38 hours)

Let me guess: You love traveling, doing puzzles and playing games? Then you fit in perfectly with us. Because we are, and we travel all over the Netherlands and Europe to set up city games in various cities. So you + us = a golden combo. We secretly assume that you, as a game fanatic, know our citygame Escape Tours , because these games can be found in 160 cities worldwide. Every day an average of 1,000 participants play a game and families, friends and companies search for the secret exit of a city. Besides Escape Tours , we also develop numerous other games for companies and the private market. We can make good use of your creativity and puzzle-skills, and these games will also fall under your duties.

What will you do?

You're going to pack your bags often, that's for sure! Sometimes you will be in a Dutch city, and other times you will go abroad with a colleague to set out a new tour. But also from behind your computer we ask for your creativity and input for other games we develop. In short, in a creative way you will give substance to the many games we develop.

For the development of games accuracy is extremely important. You work out details during preparatory work, so that once on site you will not be confronted with any surprises. You walk and map out a unique route looking through the eyes of the player. You devise a storyline in which the riddles, assignments and puzzles fit perfectly. The city is the playing field and you translate this into a new game. Accuracy can be seen in the elaboration of the game. You understand the concept of the games and implement it consistently in every storyline, from route to assignment. Once you have plotted the game you will continue to finalize the game at your workplace (office/home). In consultation with our graphics team, the assignments are formatted and you make sure that it then goes to the copywriter and translator for the final check. Your creativity then forms a game that will be played by thousands of people. How cool is that!

Above all, what do you need to be able to do?

Look, we don't have to tell you that some form of creativity is desirable, because you do need this when developing games. You love games, are competitive to the point of fanaticism. If you have a closet full of games, it's not for filling, but because you are a game freak. Because that is important for creating fun games! You like to work in a structured way and you are communicative. You like working in a small team, because you function best in a corporate culture with short lines of communication. You are not afraid of a computer and know terms like TEAMS, WORD, EXCEL. You like to travel, which is convenient since you travel to a destination several times a month to set up a game with a colleague. As the person with final responsibility you are responsible for a good game from concept to completion, so you have to be able to take on that role as well.

Who are we and where do we work?

We are Gamified Concepts BV, a company that has earned its spurs over the past 27 years in organizing outdoor events. With Escape Tours we have a fast growing concept in our hands. With our games we are already delighting 200,000 participants per year. The office is in Uddel (located on the Veluwe, between Apeldoorn and Harderwijk) where we work intensively with a team of 6 people to invent and realize the most beautiful games. We are informal, have coffee and tea in different flavors and sizes, and ample parking for your bike or car. Of course, we also like to organize our own parties, go on trips abroad with each other and light the BBQ every now and then. We are flexible when it comes to filling in working hours and are considerate of each other.
