York, 1605. Protestants and Catholics in England have been at odds for years. But the Catholics are forging a grand plan: the "Gunpowder Plot. They want to blow up the parliament building with the Protestant King James I in it. Then he can be nicely replaced by a Catholic monarch. Guy Fawkes gladly cooperates with this master plan and helps smuggle the gunpowder inside. Everything progresses steadily, until Guy is caught by a servant....
Guy takes no chances and puts the servant down. But the servant has made so much noise that attention has already been drawn. The whole plan falls apart!
