About Escape Tour
In 1296, news spreads like wildfire throughout Holland: Count Floris V has been murdered. The perpetrator is Gerard van Velsen, who, consumed by rage, took revenge after Floris allegedly raped his wife, Machteld van Woerden. But his act does not go unpunished. Gerard is hunted down everywhere, and he is forced to flee for his life.
In search of Machteld, Gerard reaches the town of Woerden, but before he can find her, he is recognized and locked up in the castle. The heavy doors slam shut behind him, and his end seems near. Until he manages to escape in the dark! Now Gerard must sneak through the city, slip past guards, and stay out of the soldiers’ hands. Will he manage to find Machteld and reach the secret exit from Woerden?
