As a professional pirate he had been the terror of the North and Baltic Seas for years. Together with his brothers, he plundered many ships in order to share the valuable loot with the citizens of Wismar.
You would think that he was a good guy, but the Hanseatic top brass thought differently. Klaus's criminal activities had to stop. To get rid of him, they decided to put a hefty price on his head. In one blow Klaus had turned from a hero into a fugitive. To save his life, he had to get away.
