About Escape Tour
In 1575, Jacobus Arminius returned to his hometown of Oudewater. What he found was a nightmare. Spanish troops had captured the city and carried out a massacre among the inhabitants. To his great sorrow, Jacobus learned that his mother, brother, and sister had also been killed. Everything he held dear seemed to have vanished in an instant.
Although he must flee as quickly as possible, Jacobus cannot simply leave these events behind. The world must know what happened in Oudewater. That is why he decides to gather evidence of the destruction and bring it outside the city walls. But Spanish soldiers are still searching for survivors. Jacobus has little time and must reach the city’s secret exit unseen. Will he manage to escape?

During the Escape Tour , you’ll step into the shoes of Jacobus Arminius. Solve puzzles, answer questions, and decipher clues as you make your way through the historic city center. Can you find the secret exit within 2 hours? If so, you’ll earn a spot on the Wall of Fame! The quest begins at the parking lot at Ravelijnstraat 49. Good luck!
