Flat Thijs, formerly known as Father Thijs, tries to move as inconspicuously as possible through the streets of Hoorn. That's quite a challenge when you're missing a distinctive part of your face. He stands out quite a bit without a nose... Thijs is seen by the people as the Dutch Robin Hood. He fights for the poor by stealing from the rich. Earlier in the day, Thijs was captured after a robbery, but not without a fight...
A bailiff chopped off Thijs's nose with a single powerful sword strike. Determined to continue his mission, Flat Thijs gathers all his strength and escapes from his cell. Now, he must flee the city as quickly as possible without any of his enemies raising the alarm. During his robberies, he had heard rumours of a secret exit from the city. Will he be able to find this hidden place in time?
