About Escape Tour
Franeker, 1787. The town is in an uproar. The sound of marching soldiers echoes through the narrow streets, and behind closed doors, people whisper about arrests, betrayal, and secret lists. One of the names on that list is Eise Eisinga, a wool comber, astronomer, and builder of the famous planetarium.
But Eise is also known for his patriotic convictions, and that makes him a threat to those in power in these times. When he hears that his name is on a wanted list, he knows he must act immediately. His house is under surveillance, his allies are no longer safe anywhere, and the city gates are guarded. Yet there is a rumor of a hidden route through Franeker. Will Eise manage to find it in time?

During the Escape Tour , you’ll follow in the footsteps of Eise Eisinga. Solve puzzles, answer questions, and decipher cryptic clues as you wander through the city. Can you find the secret exit within 2 hours? If so, you’ll have a chance to earn a spot on our Wall of Fame! The quest begins at the Royal Eise Eisinga Planetarium. Good luck!
