Having grown up in an orphanage in nineteenth-century Dublin, Molly Malone is sold to a fishmonger named Frank Collins at the age of 15. Her job is now to push a heavy cart of fish through the wealthy areas of Dublin. Every penny she earns is taken by Frank. Molly has only one wish: to live a life of freedom, far away from that miserly fishmonger who thinks he owns her.
She soon discovers that many of her male customers are actually rolling in money and decides to dress more provocatively, offering them her services in the evenings to make a little extra money on the side. The rumors about the alluring fishmonger's pretty servant spread quickly, and it isn't long before Frank catches wind of them. He is furious, and Molly realizes that she needs to escape the city - and fast. Will she succeed in staying out of the fishmonger's slimy clutches long enough to find the secret exit out of Dublin's fair city?
