Back to the early 17th century. Erotokritos was pacing the quayside of Chania. He had fallen madly in love with Princess Aretousa in recent months. But how could he declare his love to her? That was almost impossible as the son of the king's most loyal adviser. The only thing Erotokritos could think of was to serenade the princess incognito every evening....
His plan worked! Slowly but surely, Aretousa fell in love with the anonymous singer. But unfortunately, the king also got wind of the musical excesses and sent his soldiers to the sound. Fortunately, Erotokritos was prepared for an attack, but his assailants had to pay for it with death. Chania was no longer safe for the worshipper, and he had to get away. Would he still have time to see Aretousa?
