Richard Russell we would call a quack today, but in the 17th century he is a licensed physician in Brighton. He is known for selling sea water for all sorts of ailments. Business was so good that he had his own bathhouse built. Women like to come here, too, and not just for the healing waters....
But then Richard is caught with his favorite mistress Elizabeth. Her husband Sir Robert Rich, an officer in the British cavalry, is livid! How could this have happened? Hang that one! Robert goes all out to see Richard's head rolled. Richard doesn't think twice and takes flight. Elizabeth once told him about the city's secret exit. If only he had listened to her more carefully.
