At the beginning of the 20th century, conscription was introduced in Germany. It may have been necessary, but not everyone was happy about it. Certainly not Albert Einstein! He was so fed up with it that he decided to emigrate to Switzerland. What did he care about that German citizenship? Not a damned thing!
Having arrived in Bern, Einstein built a new life. He continued his studies and not much later he met Mileva. Their mutual interest resulted in a marriage that was crowned with three fantastic children. Life in the beautiful town of Bern was good and everyone was enjoying themselves. Nothing wrong, you would think. Until the world-famous scientist had to flee the city in a hurry.
