About Escape Tour mountains
It is Christmas 1664 when a large VOC trading fleet begins the long journey back home. The ships are loaded with spices, silk, pearls and diamonds. The total value is estimated at more than eleven million guilders! To protect the precious cargo from the hostile English, the VOC decides to sail via neutral Bergen.
The ships have been underway for several months when the English get wind of the wealth on board. This cargo is all they want! The VOC enlists the help of Admiral Michiel de Ruyter before the Battle of Bergen Bay erupts on August 12. The admiral is already in town, but now must return to his fleet as quickly as possible. How does De Ruyter get to his ships quickly and unseen?
