In 1216, nine-year-old Henry III is crowned king of England in Winchester. During his younger years, several regents give him advice, but they do not always have the best interests of the people at heart. Because Henry never learned to make decisions, that is his great weakness. But fortunately, he has come up with a remedy for that.
nnFor example, the king increasingly makes decisions by rolling a die. He also has a fortune-teller visit him regularly. The deal is simple: the more money Henry gives the fortune-teller, the better she does her best. These are turbulent times and his loss in the war against France hits hard. The English people are fed up and would like to see Henry's head crushed! The atmosphere became so grim that the king had to flee for his life.
