On 5 September 1927, the Netherlands was shocked by the discovery of a body on the Holland America Line in Rotterdam. Who on earth would do such a thing and why? The police were completely baffled (or clueless), but it soon became clear that the victim was Hein de Korte. Was it, then, an underworld settling of scores after all?
