Till Eulenspiegel is both famous and infamous in medieval Erfurt. He loves playing tricks, always in a way that earns him a good deal of money. The cunning prankster now claims that he can teach anyone to read and write. The townspeople laugh, but the professors challenge Till: “Prove it! Teach a donkey to read and write!”
Till accepts the challenge, teaches his donkey a few tricks, and meanwhile enjoys all the generous donations. But when it turns out that the donkey cannot read a single letter, Till is in serious trouble. The money has to be paid back, but returning money that has already been spent is no easy task… There is only one option left: escape the city as quickly as possible. Together with his donkey, Till sets out in search of the secret exit. Help him escape… before it is too late!
