In 1889, Prince Alexander Obrenović crowns himself king of Serbia in Belgrade. He immediately removes his father from exile and appoints him commander-in-chief of the army. Many disagree and soon there is an assassination attempt on Alexander\'s father. The king is furious and rules the country harshly.
